Push-cart hawkers

Mylapore can be generous too. On the mada veedhi are scores of Telugu and Hindi-speaking hawkers who hire carts and pack them with their collection of dolls. The dolls are smaller and easy on the purse too.

But since the carts do not have a place of their own, they keep moving up and down depending on the tempers or generosity of shop keepers and police managing the traffic here.
