'No traffic zone' will make Navarathri shopping hassle-free

Can we cut off the traffic on North Mada Street for the rest of this week?

This the question that many hawkers of dolls and many shoppers are asking on North Mada Street.
They say that if traffic is cut off at the two ends of North Mada Street, as is done when political meetings take place at Mangollai, the Navarathri market will be abuzz and thrive in some peace.

One hawker says that when cars and parked on the street, their wares are shut off from shoppers.

Others say the unique market makes a good case for partial traffic regulation.
